Jason B. Austin

Jason is a dynamic analyst, educator and consultant with a successful track record in leadership development, organizational capacity building and facilitating strategic change in the community development, public policy and education sectors. He is a self-driven leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who excels at developing leadership capacity and productive partnerships among diverse populations, individuals, and community entities. Jason’s expertise includes workforce development, program design, diversity awareness, and fiscal and public policy analysis.

As an educator, Jason is involved in all facets of education including teaching, higher education counseling, curriculum development, mentoring, leadership development and program design. He has counseled hundreds of students in securing admission to the college or university of their choice and in successfully guiding them through the financial aid process.

Jason has a keen interest and deep expertise in designing and delivering innovative, integrated and action-oriented curricula in the areas of civic leadership, cross-cultural understanding and public policy. Measures of his success in these programs are demonstrated through consistently receiving outstanding teaching evaluations and feedback from participants.

Jason holds a PH.D, (ABD). and MA in Political Science, University of California, Santa Barbara, an MA in International Policy Studies, Monterey Institute of International Studies and a BA in International Relations, Boston University. Jason is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian; proficient in French and Catalan. Jason has traveled extensively throughout the world and has resided in Spain, Italy, Costa Rica, Brazil and Portugal.
